eur/jpy range

not much action in eur/jpy forum so will post this here

nice rising support on 4 hr chart, fresh longs taken at 131.70, s/l 131.00, tp 133.50, although on a break of 133.00 resistance level i might just leave limit open and move stop to 132.00, break of 133 opens up 134.50

i am also keeping a close watch on eur/usd, a break above 1.2200 would drive eur/jpy higher and break below 1.2000 would not be good for eur/jpy longs

it may still have room to the downside, but since we are in uptrend i would rather go long at the bottom then hold onto a short hoping for a few more pips

*edit: entry long at 198.00, s/l 197.50, tp 199.00. playin the range but would much rather be long than short right now
You did extremely well in closing your trade. GBPJPY is holding up well and the uptrend remains intact. We now need a break above 199.45 for 200+.

EURJPY has good support @ 131.60. My order for 131.60 was also missed last night by 3 pips. Its still awaiting to get filled, with sl @ 131.00.

I'm with you on this all the way to 134.50. In the event I miss out @ 131.60 then I will buy on a break of 132.50 for 134.50.

Your trailing method is excellent. EURJPY is in a uptrend so it is good to try and obtain the max pips. I am sure buying momentum will pick up once 132.50 and 133.00 resistance is taken out.

My only conern is the EUR summit, hope no more negativity comes out of there for the EUR. Any statements or talk of going back to the Lira etc and more squabbling within each other will bring out fears on unstability and could send the EUR lower. I hope all the bad news is priced in so it can head higher.

Closed position @ 133.20 for a profit of 160 pips. Overbought will look to buy on a dip.

beautiful trade goldfinger!

closed longs from 132.20 at 133.00, +80 pips, currently short from 133.25 as all 3 indicators i use, Demarker, RSI 14, and stochastic 15,3,3 are way overbought on this pair

i will hold short positions until 15,3,3 stoch moves below 25, then go long when it moves below 10 and rsi confirms next upmove, tight stops on these shorts (40 pips) because we are in an uptrend right now

currently flat on gbp/jpy, might just wait for a breakout move before trading it again

It is forming a "D cup", which is nice and has the potential of retracing towards 136.00. I trade with the trend and do not try countertrend especially when the market is at trend ready levels. I agree it is overbought, but I prefer to buy again on a bounce out of a support support level.

Good luck with your trade.
Goldfinger.

Excellent trading! I am sidelined today. My only open position is GBPJPY. Have a order on EURJPY, a buy entry @ 132.00. Do ont think it will get there if Oil rallies to new highs, if I miss that according to todays close and high + Low, will buy @ the houryl support you quoted @ 132.50.

GBPJPY is slow, which is strange as during high oil prices (weak for JPY and good for GBP as it is a net exporter), GBPJPY should rally and overcome resistance @ 199.45. I will close position on another failure.

Changed profit target to 202.00 and stop to entry level @ 198.15 (Also below todays low). Breaked through resistance @ 199.45, momentum has picked up in the last hr.

Thumbs up I Like It

I like the trade, Goldfinger.

The pair has shown some strong bullish candle formations. The RSI also indicates overbuying for the past few days, although it has yet to close above the resistence. Good call, Goldfinger.
