2be, JohnG and the like are expert Matrix users. They've been using it for 5 years. I'm sure they have watched and rewatched the 3 CDs you are talking about for many many many times. There's no doubt that they know exactly how many counts Steve is using for GBP USD, and how many Delta standard counts are. Their opinions are extremely worthwhile for people in this forum. Try to appreciate others idea in this forum, even though sometimes it is maybe different than yours.

Hey Newb...how did you get on this week?

I have been trying to trade after work, which means for me arriving home just before London closes, as soon as this happens it seems as if someone has pulled the handbrake on trading, nothing seems to happen at all, well it does but all very slow going, which could be a good thing, I have done ok this week only around the 2k profit but still better than nowt.....

I did yes I placed a long trade at 8205 and pulled out at 8213 that was a 1000k trade,(820profit) wanted to go long again at 8175 but I was a little unsure so I decided to hold back on that, price now at 8198.....we are going down that't for sure, but we shouldn't forget these heavy oversold levels which could catch us all of gaurd sometime next week.

I think i will call it a day now, my gf will be back any time now and so we have to make dinner and relax and when you have a trade at $100 a pip you can't relax so easy.

Vince, How do you decide when to exit the trade if it moves against you?

hey vince...yes trading at that time is so hard...literally the tap gets turned off!!

yes a good week this side of the channel vince..between 8-9k$..set myself some working hours give or take...from 6am UK time until 5pm...some days i have to work later to meet my target of 1.5k$..this month has been the turning point for me..all the testing has fallen in to place..just got to keep grounded..it can easily go tits up ..

took my first wage last night..that felt good..

my plan was to get 10k$ capital and anything over that take as a wage at end of week..(thurs night)..

im now using lots of between 200-400k on average..odd ocasions 600k if i am uber confident of direction..

im hoping i win the mini king for august lol

as i started month with only 1k£ and ended with 16k$(although ive been switched to a micro so ill get stung on a technicality heheh)

2k$ per week part time is excellent..i dont know if i could do 1000k lots though takes some steely balls that does

good luck next week..im sure as you say the reversal will take place..the falling wedge that is on the 1H is gearing up for a breakout..i only trade from what i see.. so i go with the flow whilst bearing in mind the overal trend..

answer to your question is this, I look at the chart and (bar chart) i see the price come down or go up then I wait a little longer and I see if the price then reaches the same level as it did say 10mins ago (all this is after the action has happened by the way, i mean big movements) then if the price didn't quite make the same level by 0 - 10 pips then I have a very good feeling which way price action might be moving for the next hour or so....I don't know if you follow me on this one, but this is smthg I have been watching and using for a long time and 75% of the time it seems to work out fine, but then again this is smthg that I do and I am not recommending this to anyone, I did the same last night as well and pulled off about $600 and then closed my trade, I don't leave trades overnight, well not anymore, and S/L are very, very few and far between.

I keep a check on the Forum all the time, but my trading week is now over.

Give yourself a pat on the back, that is truely excellent trading.

You obviously have a trading pattern that suits you and are comfortable with....

Stick with it, don't try and fix whats not broken! I had an up week, 4 winners and 1 small loser.

Have great weekend, hope to be more active next week after kids are back at school.

thanks..yes i cant quite believe it to be honest but the months of literally locking myself away from the world is showing signs of working..ive fully realised that if i dont make money its down to my stupidity not the markets fault..but my own!!!...

i have to hand out BIG thanks to DJindyfx...many months ago when i was under the influence of others view points and not my own he (dale) put me in direction of sma's and it took months of testing and sending myself mad but those lines..especially 8 low...8high...and 20 sma dictate my trading(along with trendlines)..they TELL me when to enter/exit...as i say i just follow what i see ...the overal trend helps when a trade is going against you...but the basics of the sma are always the same regardles of direction.

hopefully you can trade more when kids are back...ive got 1 daughter and had to look after her on tuesday..not easy to trade whilst hearing dad..dad..dad..dad.dad..dad..aghhhhh lol...

I started the month with $1300 and now I am up to $9600 but I will draw from the account next Month......it has started to get better for aswell, I thought I was going to win the king of the MIni, I was just waiting for the confirmation message ...LOL

sorrt PE how do I know when top get out of a trade......mostly gut feeling, but so far frorm the 80or so trades this monthe I only have i thing 11 than have gone against me, and only because I closed them before I hit the sack, if I had of left them, well it would be a different account balance now, but you can't think like that....take each day as it comes........dinner is ready Mmmmmmmmmmmm...................
maybe I should change my member name to Steely (without the Balls) LOL

Newb tell me what you think about this for an Idea.....and this goes for everybody else in this Forum

we start our own King of the GBP/USD Forum...

so how could we do this...? we start on the 1st of the Month, and whoever has the best account at he end of the Month is the winner

we could post our accounts to prove what we have traded?

just an Idea, could be fun, no added pressure of course...

although in September I am in Austria for 8 days, have to work so there will be no trading there....
