Thanks for joining us on the forum. To give you the best possible answer I would have to have your live account number. Don't post it on the forum, however! As a general answer, I could tell you that contest rules require Mini traders to have at leaset 1,000 USD or equivalent in their accounts before the first trading day of the month. Hope this helps, King of the Mini

Thank you for posting your question. I believe you're trying to figure out how one will know if he won The King of the Mini Contest. Well, what we do is every month FXCM contacts the Top 5 leaders of the contest via email or phone. We ask them if they wish for their results to be posted on the forum, and invite them to participate as well. These traders can choose to a) participate, b) participate anonymously, or c) decline to participate altogether. I hope this answers your question. Best regards, King of the Mini

Winners for the Month of July, 2007
Winners for the Month of July, 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- by Jason Yu, FX Powercourse Instructor Standing Country/Region Name % Gain Prize 1st Saudi Arabia Anonymous 340.90% $2,500 * 2nd USA Jack Gdowski 317.65% $1,000 * 3rd Sweden Anonymous 286.41% $500 * 4th HongKong Pang Chi Yuen 191.82% $250 * 5th UK Anonymous 189.33% $100 * Over $4,000 in cash prizes awarded monthly. Learn more about prizes/contest rules. *Past results are not necessarily indicative of future results. As volatility continues to pick up, the JPY carry pairs made new highs in mid July and then started to unwind. The sharp drop in the JPY carry pairs are by no means the end of carry trade. Looking back in the past, we've seen several major sell-offs over the years, with the most recent example of Feb 27 drop triggered by the 9% drop in Shanghai Composite Index. This time was different. On July 26, which was the first day of the sharp drop, the Shanghai Composite Index actually made a fresh all-time high. In my opinion, I think the JPY carry trade sell-off is mainly due to profit taking (still remember our 250 target on GBP/JPY??), credit concerns in the U.S., and jawboning on BOJ interest rate decision in August. The sell-off does not change our long term bias of looking for buying opportunities. Keep in mind that both ECB and BOE are likely to raise rates. However, at this point, we are more than likely to see a continuation of the carry trade sell-off. With that said, we would not consider buying before bullish reversal signals appear. The championship for the month of July goes to a trader from Saudi Arabia. By the end of the trading month, his has made a 340.90% return in the account. Now let’s take a look at one of the most profitable trades – long GBP/JPY at 240.36 on July 30, and liquidated it at 242.05 on July 31. For the past 2 years, the GBP/JPY has brought long term carry traders gigantic returns. Starting off with the Daily chart, we can see that the GBP/JPY has been trading in a sharp uptrend. It advanced 6000 pips. The market does not move like a straight line. A correction or a consolidation does not change the underlying trend. Under such market condition, we mainly look for buying opportunities after pullback. GBP/JPY topped after reaching the 250.00 handle, which has been my target for the past 6 months or so. It then quickly retreated to the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level around 240.00. It did break the 240 level on an intraday basis. However, by the end of the day, it was able to stand above the 240 mark. The winner opened up a GBP/JPY long position at 240.36. It went up 200 pips the next day and he decided to liquidate the position at 242.05. If you would like to learn more about trading the FX market, the FX Powercourse is a good place to get started. past Results
I know this has already been discussed. Can we have access to prior results. They were a source of encouragement and a tool I used to show other people that it can be done.
Will we have access to results of winners in the past? |

Thank you for posting and following the contest. In its previous incarnation, The King of the Mini Contest enabled contest followers to review results for the current month only. Those wishing could potentially save results to review some months later. Starting June 2007, The King of the Mini 2.0, as we say around here, now enables our loyal contest followers or anyone new dropping in to access results at any time. We feel that this is a great service and somewhat of an improvement. Having to go back and post previous results for, say one month, or 11 months, etc., would simply not satisfy everyone, and would be rather redundant. There will always be traders who'll want to go back even further, therefore making our efforts to improve the contest and its newfound useful nature counterproductive. We prefer to focus on the future, and on our efforts to improve the contest experience. I hope this puts the question to rest. Best regards and happy trading. Volatility is back! KoM 2.0
