KOM winner's list format

Why was the KOM winner's list format changed this past summer? The previous format listing the winner's names, the flags of their respective countries and the percentage was much classier and eye-catching. The current format is deficient in both appeal and appearance.

Hello Vince--we're gathering replies and consent from the October winners to use their information for the Contest. We should have everything ready in the next day or two and will post trading results.

Winners for the Month of October 2007

By Thomas Long FX Power Course Instructor

October’s trading resulted in more weakness for the USD, as we saw new all-time highs in the EUR/USD along with multi-decade highs in the GBP/USD and the AUD/USD. We also saw new multi-decade lows in the USD/CAD. The reason continues to be the fact that the US Central Bank continues to be the only major country currently lowering interest rates. Those lower interest rates usually lead to a weaker currency. Until that changes, we should expect more weakness for the USD. Below is a monthly chart of the USD/CAD which shows constant selling pressure from the highs of early 2002. The combination of higher oil prices along with the interest rate environment has been too much for the USD to absorb. The FX markets are known for their long trending moves and we are in the middle of some of the strongest trending moves in years. This is the main reason that we teach new traders who take one of the FX Power Courses to trade in the direction of the trend. For more on the FX Power Courses we offer, please refer to http://www.fxcm.com/fxcourse-portal.jsp.

The second place finisher did a 323% gain for profit of $2425. This means he started with $750.00, less than the starting balance accepted by FXCM to be in the contest. Or am I missing something? Perhaps he went over $1000 within the first week of the contest?

Please review the trading results more carefully--the second place finish had $2,425.16 in closed P/L and $1,229.6 in floating P/L for the month of October only. This is net P/L of $3654.76 and 1,130.44 in Beg. Bal.

Regards,
KOM

No worries at all! That is why we are here to answer questions that one (and no doubt many others) may have.
