Hi

I have a question regarding the SSI. When calculating the values, are all clients 'cross' positions separated into their USD-components (eg GBP/JPY becomes GBP/USD & USD/JPY) and included in the SSI or are they ignored?

I ask because it might be that traders betting on, say, sterling strength and Yen weakness, but dollar neutral, would all jump in on GBP/JPY longs and not get included. Meanwhile SSI for GBP/USD & USD/JPY might not show such extremes.

Would including this cross data be possible, if not already done. Also have you compared SSI for GBP/USD, USD/JPY, and GBP/JPY ? Do the first 2 always match?

I'd be interested in your comments

Hello

Hello everyone,

I have never traded in my life and have no idea where to begin. I do have a keen interest, but can someone please guide me on how to be a successful trader in FX within a month. Thank you for your guidance.

Hello again - not sure where to post this.......

Could you guys set up a post which ranks the 8 main currencies in terms of percentage gain/loss against the USD over different time periods?

Eg a rank at close of each day, a weekly rank, and maybe a monthly rank.

That way we could look to trade strong pairs against weak pairs (eg a currency the constantly appears in the top 2 or 3 against one that constantly appears in the bottom 2 or 3 of the list).

I think this would be extremely helpful and shouldn't be too hard to do. Sorry to post this here but perhaps it would tie in with the regular SSI reports ?

Cheers
Andy
